Everything was really good, magnificent location close enough to ferry from north island, good showers and kitchen, close to town, the ferry terminals and town, and many nice cafes, efficient staff. The service was efficient, nothing to complain about, it was just what we needed...

Contact by the owners prior to arrival to offer directions and travel alternatives. I had informed the owner/manager that I would arrive by ferry and would walk from the terminal to the park. On my arrival there was heavy rain, and I was delight to find that the managers wife had driven to the port to meet me. I only stayed one night, but wish it had been for longer. The manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful, the cabin was clean and warm with ample bedding, and the location was handy for the town centre, railway station and ferryport.
The camper park is not shown on a number of tourist maps/handouts of the area and can be easily missed.

Close to the ferry terminal.
It would have been nice to have had an electric jug and coffee making facilities in the room. It just had bed and table, chairs and a couch.

I stayed at the Campervan Park for a business trip and was impressed by the helpful staff who accommodated my last-minute requests and even extended my stay. The communal bathrooms were clean and the showers had fantastic water pressure, a refreshing change from other places. Great for families too, with facilities for kids. excellent value for money and my top choice for business trips or a family getaway.
Can just recommend this hotel.

The Picton Campervan Park exceeded my expectations, the staff were friendly, the place was very clean and tidy, the tv/lounge had very nice tea and coffee for the cabins, the unit had everything we required and the flat screen tv provided was a bonus. Thankyou for the wonderful stay we would highly recommend this campervan park to any of our family and friends and we be making sure we book here again if going to the South Island again. You have won us over, keep up the great job. Cheers Lindsay McBride & Family

We stayed at the Picton Campervan Park because we were in transit to Wellington via the Bluebridge ferry and we found the price was affordable as we were only looking for a place to shower and sleep and it was very handy to the terminal especially for the early sailing. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable and all services were well appointed and clean.
The only thing that was disappointing about the Picton Campervan Park was the continual road noise throughout the night from heavy transport travelling to the railyards. We had a lovely unit and warm and comfortable bed but the traffice noise kept us awake for many hours. What a shame. You cannot do much about this problem.
